Ravens, gulls, sunset and a crescent moon

It was a spectacular sight last night and I didn’t have to leave my front driveway.

Some shots are a bit grainy, an artifact of my Sony RX10iii which I grabbed when I ssaw the show. The final two moon shots are taken with the Sony Alpha 7II and my new 400-800 lens, which was too  narrow to capture the wider picture.

There was a crescent moon (31.8 per cent waxing) setting over the mountains.  Dozens, if not a hundred or so gulls, were in the skies, and continued flying for about 40 minutes until just before the moon set.  At one point the family of ravens that lives nearby joined them.
