Northern Flickers and autumn leaves

A pair of Northern Flickers were very active in my backyard tree in Kitimat BC yesterday on Oct 22, despite heavy overcast (so not so great light) and rain varying from light to heavy. They blended in with the red autumn leaves when seen by the naked eye rather than a 500mm lens.
