The LNG Canada superflare at sunset, Nov. 5, 2025.
For the past week or so, the LNG Canada flare has been lighting up the skies night and day through heavy rain, fog and clouds, with the roar of the flames heard across town. It was part of the preparation for the implementation of “Train 2” the second LNG processing unit. On November 6, LNG Canada confirmed that Train 2 is now operational.

The clear weather continues. Woke up again just before 6 am. The moon, 88.9 per cent waning gibbous was right over Douglas Channel. Rather than go outside, I just grabbed my Alpha 55 with the Tamron 70-300 which I keep by my deck for bird photography and shot through my bedroom window.
