The annual Fred Diessing Northwest Coast art exhibit opened at the Kitimat Museum and Archives on Saturday March 7, 2026. The school at Coast Mountain College in Terrace, brings together indigenous instructors and students from across the region to teach and learn the fundamentals of northwest coast art, design and paintng, later teaching carving and jewelery design while the students move on from the fundamentals to the art tradition of their own nation.
