Faces from Star Wars in cedar cones

The cedar tree outside my new house has tiny, round seed cones. Some remind me of soccer or basket balls. Others have faces or masks.

It was a beautiful sunny afternoon, so got the camera, the tripod, the 100mm macro and the extension tubes and just fooled around seeing what I could get.

This group of seed cones reminds me, some what, of Star Wars Storm Troopers (perhaps after the Ewoks were finished with them?).  Will keep shooting the cones until I get a gallery of masks, or faces or whatever stirs my imagination.
