Light Up Kitimat 2025
Hundreds showed up at City Centre Mall in Kitimat, Dec. 7, 2025 for the Light Up Kitimat Christmas ceremony. That was despite a Yellow Heavy Rain warning. The rain did pour down as Santa arrived in a Kitimat Fire and Rescue truck.
Late November fog and light
Winter weather in Kitimat varies a lot. We had the first heavy snowfall overnight on November 25 to November 26. Then during the day there was rain and fog and thaw. On November 27, it was a bright, cold sunny day.
Crows in wintery weather
For the November bird count, Sunday, November 16, 2025, the weather was not cooperating. Cool, wet with a blowing wind and mixture of rain and sleet.
